SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Tip of the Day! Monitor where your keywords are located…if your keywords are part of a picture, or in a form they will not be picked up by the search engines. If your keywords are part of a picture, make sure that the “ALT TEXT” property for the image has the keywords included.

Finally, when using a CMS (Content Management System) to make edits to your website, keep your keywords on the home page if possible. Even if you do this you may have problems. Because of the nature of how a CMS works duplicate entries of pages are created and search engines prefer original content. Once the page is duplicated it stops being unique and therefore is blocked to most search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo.

Add a Google Analytics and Yoast plugin to your WordPress site…both of these together will ensure that you have all your settings correct for basic organic SEO.  Finally run a free seo report – here is a link to a good one!  Seobility | Online SEO Software & Free SEO Tools
